Juventus’s kit is iconic. But they weren’t the first to use black and white stripes. A team from the English East Midlands was.

I thought they got the colors from Newcastle united
Bruh, I need dates for reference
Cant find anything on the pink+tie kit on google though
Newcastle is a joke?
And now the only ones who wear pink are Sport Boys from Callao, Peru.
What’s up with Nottingham making history with kit designs
i live in Toronto, when Cristiano traded to Juventus, the portuguese diaspora all rushed and bought his Juventus shirt; problem is, in Canada this black and white striping is what the staff at a well known retailer called Foot Locker. anyone not familiar with European football just thought these teenagers worked at the mall.
Fifa 09 taught me they were based on notts, career mode has definitely gone downhill since
I thought it was Newcastle shirts
I had a wheelBAAAAARRRRRROOOOWWWWWWW
It’s a shame that marketing in Juventus changed their crest to that stupid ‘J’. I hate the entire rebrand of Juve. They killed the identity of one of the most history rich clubs in the world.
Luckily our friends from Nottingham got us their red shirt. Thanks Forest 🌳 from an Arsenal fan who doesn’t want to look like a prisoner
And Notts county are renamed now to Newcastle United 😂
english teams are fascinating also dude was a savage for having a club have the same kit the savage gave them for 120 years!!
My favorite football kit on any team. Black & White stripes
Chain reaction to the switch is Palermo wearing pink shirt
Hence fifa 20 and 21
That 19/20 is one the most beautiful kits in football ball history
This is fantastic football history!
I never thought that Juve would get their kit from Notts County😅
This is one of my favourite football facts. The fact they played a centenary match together in 2011 makes me very happy
Surely they should use pink for away now then as homage
Your a knock off Notts county, your just a knock off Notts Country!!
John savage is the savage
Notts County were the team invited to the inauguration of Juventus Stadium in 2011. Juve BFF Notts County.
jail bar shirt because they always again the law
Love stories like this
The amount of teams around the world that wear specific colors and patterns directly because of English teams is fascinating.
They are black and white because they should be in jail
Same happens in Spain with Athletic Bilbao.
"In 1902, for the first official celebration of the Copa del Rey (King's Cup), the attire was replaced with a more elegant one: a jersey with two stripes (navy blue and white), dark blue shorts, and blue socks with a white stripe at the top.
This attire was inspired by the English club Blackburn Rovers Football Club, from whom Athletic Bilbao purchased the clothing.
In 1910, Juan Elorduy was supposed to buy more jerseys during his visit to England. To his surprise, when he arrived, they were sold out. He had no choice but to improvise. On his way back to Bilbao from the city of Southampton, he bought jerseys from the local team, Southampton Football Club. Coincidentally, it was a jersey with red and white stripes, along with black shorts and socks.
This led to the change in the colors of the Athletic Club, which later became the iconic red and white colors we know today."
Also Atletico de Madrid was founded by basque students from Bilbao who were Athletic supporters. That's why Athletic Bilbao and Atletico Madrid have the same shirt.
You know pink shirt is nowadays being associated with Inter Miami.
They were inspired by prisoner outfits from old films.
Notts County had the honor of inaugurating the new stadium with a friendly against Juventus, which I believe ended in a 1-1 draw.
Could of at least give them something original
Bro’s last name really was savage
Back & white or pink, it's still merda.
Newcastle came to my head before they said Nottingham
How did the likes of Newcastle United, St Mirren, and Udinese comw up with b/w stripes?
I ❤ Juve
Next: why do so many South American teams have other teams like "Arsenal" in their name?
Who would've thought Juventus actually had something to do with Notts County lol
